The Shifting Phase

I call Phase 2 of the program the Shift Phase for 2 reasons

  1. This is the fat loss part of the program. A great way to start your weight loss journey. Most clients shift 5-9kg during this time which has a huge impact on motivation and self confidence, but that’s not where it ends...
  2. This is where there can be a real shift in the way we think and feel about food. It is interesting that many clients report and it was definitely true for me, that while you are in the Shift Phase of the program there are so few choices that the focus shifts away from food. This is very liberating for those of us that have been on a diet of some sort all out lives.

Week 1 can be a bit of a struggle but most people find that by week 2 or 3 they feel alive and energised. This is largely because their body is no longer having to deal with processed or refined foods, alcohol and sugars. Take this opportunity to listen to your body and build up a arsenal of good food choices.

During this time you will also get a great idea of how much you really need to eat. It is a fact that in Australia, we eat too much. Portion sizes are way too big and calorie intake is in excess of how many calories we burn. It is the main reason 3 out of 5 Aussie adults are considered overweight or obese.

The first thing you will notice at the end of the program is that you no longer have the same cravings. So whether it was chocolate or chips, if you listen to your body, you will realise you either don’t want it... or just a small amount will be sufficient. Secondly, you will realise that you require less food. Both of these insights will make it easier as you move forward.
